This season, Zenni Optical is proud to unveil new styles to ReMakes™, our exclusive line of eco-friendly eyewear. Crafted from recycled and biobased materials, ReMakes™ are environmentally conscious without compromising on the quality and durability Zenni is known for.
Sustainable Materials for a Greener Future
ReMakes™ frames are constructed using a variety of sustainable resources. These include biobased materials such as plant-based resins derived from castor beans, cellulose acetate derived from processed wood pulp, and recycled PET frames made from a minimum of 85% recycled plastic waste. Each pair of recycled plastic frames is quality manufactured using reclaimed materials certified with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). ReMakes™ are shipped in reusable packaging made from recycled paper, and arrive with a dedicated eco-friendly fabric soft eyeglass pouch, made from recycled PET plastic.

The Wyland Foundation works to inspire, inform, and mobilize people everywhere to reduce harmful waste that affects the very thing that gives our planet life. The organization was founded in 1993 by artist and conservationist Wyland to address water quality and pollution issues affecting our ocean and waterways.
Together with the Wyland Foundation, Zenni will encourage environmental awareness through education programs, public arts projects, and community events.
