This year, five deserving optometry students from diverse backgrounds and unique personal stories have been chosen. Each recipient, enrolled in U.S. Optometry Schools, will receive a $2,500 scholarship. The Awardees’ Stories

In the 2023 Eye Care Access Scholarship program by Zenni Optical, five optometry students were awarded for their dedication to providing eye care in underserved communities. The awardees include Liliana Gonzalez from the Indiana College of Optometry, Emmanuel Nwagha from Western University College of Optometry, Anna Reard from Pacific University College of Optometry, Grace A. Skarohlid from the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Optometry, and Trevor Stiede from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. Each of these students aim to overcome cultural, language, and economic barriers in healthcare, reflecting Zenni’s vision that quality eye care should be available to everyone.
