my favorite round-ish frames!
il y a un moisI tried quite a few different round tortoise frames, both from Zenni and from other shops, and these were my winner! The scale and shape of these frames suited my face the best out of the many I've tried (for reference, I have a smaller head but rounder face, high cheekbones, and eyes a bit closer together compared to most). I love that they aren't completely round, so the shape follows the curve of my cheek without touching it (this is a style tip I once read about rounded edge frames). I also liked the thinness of the tortoise frame, because it's subtle enough to not distract from my facial features while still looking chic, and doesn't fully block my eyebrows despite being a larger frame. I love them! The subtleness makes them work with casual outfits around the house, too, not just when I'm dressed in a more fun way.
I saw a review that mentioned the nosepads aren't adjustable (??), but they totally are, because I was able to cinch mine inwards and rotate them too! The silicone nosepads feel hollow and squishy, which are really comfortable to me compared to the more solid kind. I can't do non-adjustable nosepads, in case that's also a factor for you.
From my pic you can probably see that they do need an anti-reflective coating, but I actually bought these as non-RX because I have to get special lenses from my eye doctor.

il y a 2 moisI am very satisfied with this pair. This is only my second pair of gold metallic frames I've ever worn and I made a jump back to metallic after wearing acetate for a few years. Something about this low profile, roundish, light-colored gold frames with tortoiseshell rims matched my rectangular-round and wide headshape and somewhat light-midtoned complexion very well. The material quality appears sound and sturdy and I've had no issue with the overall wear-experience with these glasses. Will definitely be searching another pair of frames on Zenni again soon!

TWO DIRECT HITS!!

I only get one pair of glasses a year covered by my health plan, so I decided that if Zenni would have the close equivalent for about 25% of the cost of my usual purchases, it was worth a try. I decided to go all out and get not only the customized frame (utlilizing Zenni's virtual fitting - size and style) and get progressive lenses, high grade lense UV % Blue Light Protection (and changing for light/dark). All I had to do was make my selections and provide my prescription. The Result was absolute perfection in how I wanted them to look, the quality, my vision as prescribed, and the quick turn around. All for about $130 (NOT $450+) WOW!! I was so impressed, I changed up the style and ordered a second pair. Equally thrilled with the 2nd Pair! So now, I have options with 2 pairs for about half the price of the one I bought before I found Zenni. I cannot recommend highly enough. Do what I did and give it a shot for one pair and see what you think. The virtual fitting and trying-on for your style preference really works! I don't think I will be going back to the optical stores again.
