Seeing Clearly: The Benefits of Blokz Photochromic Lenses
Have you tried our Blokz® Photochromic lenses?
You may be wondering….are these light-reactive lenses?
A photochromic or light-reactive lens is a lens that reacts to light, specifically UV light.
When exposed to UV light like a bright sunny day, photochromic lenses will darken. The greater the UV intensity, the darker the lenses become. When UV light is no longer present (like if you are indoors or at night), the lenses fade back to clear.
How many hours are you in front of a digital device?
If you are like most of my patients, this number exceeds 12 hours between your computer and phone. You can easily protect your eyes with our Blokz® Photochromic lenses which block 100% UV rays as well as filter harmful blue light.
Will Blokz® Photochromic lenses darken in the car?
Did you know the front windshield in your vehicle blocks UV Rays so photochromic lenses are not activated to darken? Luckily you are shopping at Zenni where glasses start at $6.95 so you can get that extra pair of sunnies to keep in your car. Transitions® XTRActive Polarized™ lenses, our latest lens offering, are also uniquely designed to provide extra protection from reflective glare while also darkening in your car.
