DIY New Year’s Eve Glasses

Get ready for any New Year’s Eve shenanigans with a pair of festive and glittery 2017 glasses! Create these attention-getting specs with our simple steps below.

What You Need:

Glasses
Pencil
Scissors
X-Acto knife
Ruler
“2017” print out to stencil from
Adhesive glitter foam sheet
Glue gun w/ glue sticks
Glitter glue (optional)

What to Do:

Step 1: Measure the width of the top part of the glasses and print out block numbers that are approximately the same width. With scissors or an X-Acto knife, cut out the numbers to use as your stencil for the glitter foam sheet.

Step 2: Place your numbers backwards on the adhesive side of the foam sheet. Use the X-Acto to carefully cut out your numbers.

Step 3: To stick the numbers to your glasses, cut or tear off a portion of the adhesive backing. Make sure you spread the numbers out to meet the width of your glasses. For added funk, mix up the height of the numbers or stick them on slightly askew.

Step 4: Now you’re ready to party! For added flair, you can add wings or other embellishments, or outline the frame with more glitter using glitter glue.
