Something lost in Translation
6 years agoGreat website; good selection of frames; frames were sturdy and of good quality. But, I had a prescription for tri-focal lenses. For some reason, I was sent one pair of glasses that I later understood to be "mid range" (not yet sure what that means), but they did not seem to be tri focals. I had ordered an extra pair of single (distance) vision lenses because they were offered at a very low price and I thought they might be good for long distance driving. But neither pair were satisfactory. I did not know whether it was my prescription or Zenni that caused the error. I went back to the optometrist. He "tweaked" the prescription slightly. I returned the glasses to Zenni and reordered - basically the same order as before. The distance vision glasses were OK for driving, etc. But, the other pair was not good for either middle vision or close up. I took the frames to a local optical company and had them make lenses for the Zenni frames. Originally, I had ordered from Zenni because I wanted to buy frames with clip on magnetic sunglasses, i.e. I like the convenience of having one pair of glasses that are readily converted to sunglasses. I usually carry the magnetic clip on sunglasses in the breast pocket of my shirt. I'm not completely happy with the clip on sunglasses because they attach underneath the frames instead of on top - can't understand why they would have been made that way - it's much more convenient to have them attach at the top of the frame. Also, there was some-thing of a language barrier in dealing with the customer service people.

Very Nice Frames
6 years agoShipping was pretty fast. Frames are excellent quality and the prescription was perfect. Love the glasses. I would have paid $600 locally.
