Frequently Asked Questions
I already have everyday progressives; do I really need these?
While everyday progressives are built for distance (like driving), Work & Hobby progressives dramatically expand your intermediate and close-up viewing zones. This eliminates neck tilt, reduces fatigue, and improves posture during long desktop sessions.
How do I pick between Near-Range and Mid-Range?
Choose Near-Range (up to 3 ft) if you stay anchored at a desk, read heavily, or do close-up detail work within arm's reach.
Choose Mid-Range (up to 10 ft) if you move around an office, collaborate in meetings, or need to see your screens and around the room.
Can I wear these for driving or outdoors?
No. Work & Hobby progressives do not contain a full distance prescription, so they are not safe for driving. Additionally, they are optimized for indoor clarity and cannot be ordered with dark tints, polarization, or photochromic options.
Is it hard to get used to Work & Hobby progressives?
If you already wear progressives, getting used to your new lenses is easy! First-time progressive wearers may need a little extra time to adapt.
Do I need a special reading or computer prescription?
Nope! Just enter your standard progressive prescription for distance and reading. Our optical lab will calculate the exact task-specific power for your lenses.
