Flattering on me, broke after 18 months
2 days agoI’m rating these glasses a four, despite my issues with the quality. Because I feel that for the price and the way I use glasses, they aren’t such a bad deal.
My nose bridge is narrow and my eyes are close together. It’s hard to find unique geometric frames that don’t cover my inner eye. These frames have a chunky frame shape without the chunk. I got the light, cool tone multicolor frame. The pattern was subtle, I liked it. My thick progressive prescription was fine - no noticeable distortion in vision or function. I consider the clip on sun shade a purely utilitarian accessory for driving mainly. They are just a cutout from a sheet of flimsy plastic with a clip attached. I remember much older members of my family wearing these over their glasses in the 70s. They’re that fashionable if you care about those things.
The biggest drawback of these glasses is their short lifespan. HOWEVER - I’ve noticed that in the past 10 years glasses have become a bit like ‘fast fashion.’ The less expensive are expected to last just from one eye exam to the next, when people are getting tired of the old frames and want a new pair. Or, for people who want many different frames and the wear time will be spread out so each pair will last longer. This is fine if your lenses aren’t expensive, but if you wear progressive lenses like me that are costly, you might be reconsidering fast fashion frames. I am.
Finally, these frames might have lasted longer if I didn’t wear over their ear headphones at work. Not industrial headphones, just normal audio headphones. I say this because I had just put on my headphones when both ear pieces snapped and the frames fell off my face onto my desk, to the great amusement of my coworkers. The plastic stems actually snapped, it wasn’t a failure of the hardware that attaches the stem to the frame.

I love the glasses themselves, but I ordered the photosensitive and though they do get a bit darker in the sun, it is only a BIT.

Love the look
a month agoLove the look and feel like a rock star wearing them. Sometimes feel like I'm not seeing so clearly through them.
