10/10- wish these were brought back into service. They have seen me though some adventures, dark times, and shepherd me through all the manners of my life journey. I know it’s a bit much to say that about glasses – ‘just some lowly frames and some lenses’ were the reason why I accomplish anything, but I must say, they really do help me look in the mirror and be able to give a look that head nod of confidence—“yeah, I don’t mind that person in the reflection” or “yeah, look at me; I look on it/smart/ got it…”(which makes all the difference in the world).
Moreover— they were (&are) effective camouflage against the twinges of internal criticism and swathes of doubt a helpful shield against that cruel mistress of conflicting gendered identity— making even me feel like Clark Kent from myself & problems.
Somehow, for such a pedestrian accessory and tool, they have become a signature of my look and a confidence boost.
What’s more, they just fit under most lab goggles – which is a true asset given my line of work.
I enjoyed these immensely— they saw me through undergrad, running a national research lab, graduate school. Sight is important, and the freedom to was great.

5 years agoJust want to let people know that these glasses appear black. You can see the blue if you hold them up to the light, but don't buy if you want blue glasses.
